This RV Renovation was so "extra" and I felt like it needed a fireplace to really bring it over the top. I found a really narrow RV fireplace insert that was only 6.5 inches deep. It was the perfect fit for the small space I had, but would make a big impact!
While I was at it, I figured I would change the CD Player/Radio out for a Bluetooth Stereo, since we won't ever be listening to CDs and it was a much larger radio panel than I wanted.
I started with building out a frame using 1x2s. Then I used faux brick paneling to cover it, caulked the seams, and painted it the same blue color that I used in the bunk room. This was a nice way to bring that beautiful color into the main living space and tie the bunk room in.
I made a mantle with a stained piece of pine, hung a mirror, and just like that I created a cozy space to curl up on the couch and watch the fire!
